Why You Should Use Flash For Your Web Audio

There are a number of different ways to add audio to your web site. Some can be a bit hit and miss and others can work out just plain expensive.

So what is a quick and easy way to add audio to your web site without breaking the bank?

You have probably guessed from the title of this article but I would like to show you why by giving you all of the options.

The cheapest and easiest way to add audio to your web site is to simply upload an mp3 file to your web site and create a link to it on your web page, job done! Well not quite, there are pros and cons to this method. If you want your visitors to be able to download your mp3 so they can listen to it at a later date on their computer or iPod, (this is called pod casting) the link method is perfect. Simply instruct your visitors to right click on the link and select "save target as" (or "save link as" in Firefox).

If you want your visitors to be able to play your audio file immediately online then there are a few problems. If the link is clicked on a number of things could happen depending on which plug-ins are installed. If iTunes or QuickTime is installed the mp3 will download and play in a new browser window. Otherwise the mp3 could play in Windows Media Player, Real Player or another application like WinAmp or maybe not play at all.

Another method of adding audio to your web page would be to embed the audio into the page. With a bit of html code, instead of the player opening in a separate window it will appear on your web page. This also depends on which plug-ins are installed so it may play in a variety of players or not play at all!

There are other options like using a dedicated server or proprietary software but these can be expensive and your visitors would probably need to download extra software before they could play your audio. These options can work out very expensive and should only be considered if you are going to have very large volumes of downloads.

So, let's consider Flash Audio. The Flash plug-in is estimated to be on 98% of computers on the Internet. You can create audio buttons to fit on your web page in whatever position you want and in your colour scheme. Flash uses mp3 audio which will stream over any connection. So will flash audio you are in complete control. The only problem is that would need to buy and learn Macromedia Flash or pay someone else to do it. That is until recently when a number of cheap and easy to use software packages have come onto the market which enables anyone who can cut and paste, to add Flash streaming audio to their web site. Most of these programs have been listed and reviewed at www.websiteaudioreviews.com

So now any one can create professional and reliable audio buttons on their web site.

A Secret Way to Make an Old PC Run Faster - Computer Experts Use This to Revive Old PC's Speeds

It's a well known fact that when computers get older, they become slower. Although hardly anyone knows why this happens, a select few computer experts have not only worked out what's causing the problem, but have also created a secret way to make old PCs run faster again. This tutorial is going to explain exactly what the problem is, and how you can make your old computer run faster again in a few minutes.

The way to speed up any PC is to fix the problems that cause it to run slowly, and for older systems - that problem is not very well known. Many people mistakenly think that older PCs simply don't have the "hardware" to make their system run very fast any more... but that couldn't be further from the truth. The hardware of your PC doesn't really affect its speed, as when you first got the computer - it ran fast, right? Computers are designed to run as fast as their system will allow - and the reason why your PC is running slow is because of Windows, not your hardware.

There's a part of Windows which is responsible for making older PCs run slower & slower - called the "Registry". This is a very important database inside Windows, which has been designed to store all the settings, information and options that your system & software requires to run each day. The registry database is one of the most important parts of the whole Windows system, but is also the reason why your computer is continually running slowly. The problem is that the registry is being used so much that Windows often saves many parts of it in the wrong way, causing the system to take longer to find the settings it requires from it, slowing it down.

The registry is the most common reason why PCs get slower with age - as each time you use your PC, an increasing number of registry settings are being saved incorrectly. This problem compounds (adds to the last set of registry errors) to make your PC run slower and slower every day. The problem for many older PCs is that this database literally has 1,000's of damaged registry settings inside, preventing your computer from running very fast at all. The secret way to fix an old & slow PC is to repair the various registry errors that are causing problems for your system. To do this, you should download & run a "registry cleaner" program - which is a software tool designed specifically to clean out the various registry errors on your system.

You can speed up Windows by using a 'registry cleaner' to repair all the damaged registry settings on your system. You can Click Here to make your old Windows PC run faster again.

What You Can Download For Your PSP

If you have a Sony Playstation Portable and think it's just for games...guess again! After tons of research and tinkering, we've found a slew of cool gadgets and perks to make your PSP a breathing mobile living room. Let's start with the most obvious.

Download-able Games: for those tired of buying game after game, you're murses (man purses) and pocketbook's are now safe. There are literally dozens of websites on the internet today offering unlimited game downloads for a small one time membership price. These pay sites contain almost every game released to date. All that's required to take advantage of these memberships are: Internet connection on a reasonable PC, PSP memory stick, PSP USB Cable, & software to transfer the files (included with most membership sites). For a complete tutorial on how to move games from your PC to your PSP please see the link at the bottom of this article.

Movie, TV Show, & Music Videos: PSP Movie's are also available from the same sites that offer the games. Downloads are available in HD / DVD quality so there is literally no suffering in picture quality. There is numerous software programs available to decrypt you're existing DVD collection but unless your technically savvy, your safest bet is to stick to the membership sites.

Music: You don't have to subscribe to a content provider to get your PSP turned into a portable jukebox (or 8 track if you're from the 70's). There's multiple ways to get the music you love onto your device. The most popular ways are: 1) Moving already downloaded mp3's 2) Ripping a CD into MP3 format, then transferring the files. There are a lot of free programs that can assist with getting the music where you need it to go so be sure to search Google.

Wallpaper, Skins, & Themes: Wallpaper, Skins, & Themes are great ways to customize your PSP to your own personality. A recent search in Google provided 227,000 results. If you search any search engine you should have your hands full with plenty of cool content to keep you busy. If you're not sure what were talking about here I'll give a quick rundown... Wallpaper is simply the graphic you see as your background when your PSP is turned on. These graphics can be your favorite TV Show character or basically any formatted image that is supported. Themes are very similar to the themes you would find on a newer model cell phone. These themes provide different "feels & looks" while navigating through your PSP. Skins refer to the hard outer covering of your PSP. Unfortunately, for skins, you will have to purchase this either online or from your local game retailer.

Internet Browsers: If you didn't already know, yes... The PSP can connect to existing Wi-Fi hot spots. Hot spots are areas with Wi-Fi service and are either accessed for free or for a fee. You can find hotspots at local bookstores, cafe's, airports, etc. If you're interested in using your favorite browser (such as internet explorer) you have two choices, hunt for the download or subscribe to a content provider.

Emulators For Nintendo, SNES, Sega Genesis, Turbo Grafx 16, Gameboy Advance & More: This by far has to be the my most popular feature. What are emulators you ask? They are programs that give you the ability to play all of the old platform games directly on your PSP. Yep, that means Mike Tyson's Punch Out, The Legend of Zelda, and Super Mario Brothers... Here we come! Most Download Membership sites not only provide the emulators, they also provide all the games. That in itself, to me, is worth the price of admission.

Bonus Content: In addition to the above here's a few more items you can load up. E-Books, Lyrics, Maps, Mods, Patches, Walkthroughs..... I think you understand now that there's more to the Playstation Portable than just games.

If you're interested in subscribing to a Download Membership Site but are not sure where to start, we've tested dozens of sites and listed our top picks for your convenience. Visit the website below.

Computer errors have made it impossible for so many people to use them properly. People often feel irritated after these errors happen to their computers. But, they don't know how they can tackle them more efficiently.

However, as soon as the computer is connected to internet, many undesired entries are formed in the registry. Such entries happen because of undesirable download. Cell Phone Talk

Cell phone is called as a "Mobile phone", sometimes even termed as a "Handset". In china, especially in 1990's, it had a nickname "Dageda" which means a powerful implement, possessed by a powerful man.

In the past, the design of cellphone was very simple, just like a brick. Due to the evolution in technology, cellphone are always the most up-to-date products that capture boys and girls. Sometimes I do complain that the changes are very rapid, but cellphones are cellphones, they are the style of our era.

Nowadays you can download MP3, photos and mobile games with your cellphone, of course, if you want to share your favorite songs or photos (maybe video) with your friends, just deliver them all to your friends. There are two methods, as far as I know, the one is short messaging, the other way is called "bluetooth" technology, of course, it requires short distance(about 200 meters), one of the cellphones may directly deliver the information which include MP3,photos,video files to another cellphone immediately! Instead of "IR" technology, it's simple and available.

Frankly speaking, I don't think cellphones are helpful to my life. I neither made a call from my cellphone and neither did I receive a call in the past two weeks. Because I am a freelance worker, I always stay at home, trying to earn money online. So my relative is my PC not my cellphone! My job involves me to click ads, replying to e-mails, and browsing websites to earn rewards. Frankly speaking, I don't need a cellphone at all except when I am going out. This is the reason why cellphones are called mobile phones, it's the real advantage of a cellphone. When compare with other machines or tools, cellphone really shorten our distance and bring us convenience. Actually they have already changed our lives!

How To Put Music On PSP - Step By Step Guide

One of the features available in PSP are the ability to play music files namely MP3 format. Certain PSP will also be able to play other types of music files such as Window very own WMA and WMV format, but we will get into that later. However these are restricted to newer version of PSP. This is a rundown on how to put music on PSP.

The steps taken is no different than transferring any files from your PC to PSP memory stick. In order to put music on PSP you will require a USB cable.

This is how you put music on PSP:

1. Connect your PSP with your PC using the USB cable.

2. Use your PSP interface and hit HOME button, and then go into "Settings". Here you will have to use
the directional button to find "USB Connection"

3. Once the connection is made, you will need to check your PCs available drives. You can do this by
going into "My Computer". Your PC should detect your PSP as and additional drive. It is not much
different from using portable drive or thumb drives actually.

4. Click on your assigned PSP drive.

5. Create a new folder call "music" on your PSP drive

6. Select your MP3 music from your PC and drag it into your "music" folder on your PSP. Note that all
this is done in your PC interface.

7. When all the desired MP3 are transferred, get out of the USB connection mode by pressing "O" on
your PSP.

8. Find the music area in your PSP, and select your memory stick. Search for your "music" folder and
you are good to go.

If you have other types of music format in your PC, i.e. WMV or WMA, you will need a converter to convert those files to MP3 format. Do not fret though, as Sony will also supply PSP user with its very own Image Converter. You can easily convert WMA and WMV files format into MP3 format and just repeat the whole process on how to put music on PSP.

On the other hand if you want to play WMV and WMA files without converting your files to MP3, you can always update your PSP firmware to the latest firmware. However, I would not recommend this (upgrading your PSP firmware) as it will severely limit your PSP experience. Some of the effect of upgrading your PSP firmware is that certain games you have will not work on your PSP with the latest firmware. There are forums dedicated to PSP downgrading as a lot of people want to revert back to their old firmware.

"How to put music on your PSP?" has been asked countless times and using PSP interface it is as easy as transferring files to your USB thumb drives. Hope this articles helps.

Setting Up Apache Web Server

So, you want to set up a web server? Well, you have come to the right article. I will show you how to set up an Apache web server. There are some things you should know before we start setting up your web server. A web server is a software that always runs on a computer and allows other computers to download the files from it. This book you are reading traveled over a network connection, in this case the web server, right to your computer.

Why would you want to run your very own web server? Maybe it's because you want to download files from your own computer onto another computer, or maybe it's because you want your very own website hosted with just the cost of electric. A server can be a powerful thing to have, it could open up exploits to your computer if not done right. So, if you follow this book right you will be up and running without any problems at all!

Before you start make sure your computer has all the latest security patches, latest updates, and that you have done spy ware and virus scan. And always have a strong firewall. Bitdefender is a great firewall, but any PAID firewall should do the trick.

Let's get started on setting up that web server. You will need the following in order to set up a web server:

1. A Windows PC

2. A broadband Internet connection (DLS or Cable) Step 1: Installing the Apache Server

First thing that you will want to do before install the server is to disable and stop any firewall software you may have running on your computer, including Windows Firewall. You may want to close out of any unneeded programs that are running on your computer. That is important, and should really be done as it can cause the server installation to fail. You can start them back up when the installation process is done.

Now, Download the Apache web server, you can find that by searching Google. After the download is complete, Start the installation wizard and Accept the agreement. Use the default location for the Apache files. After that you will see a screen for server information, just enter your own e-mail address and server domain. Complete the install process with "Typical installation" setting checked.

When the installation is done you may be prompted to restart your computer, if so, restart your computer. If, and when your computer is done restarting open your browser and type in localhost. If the page loads and you see "If you can see this, it means that the installation of the Apache web server software on this system was successful", then the server loaded without and problems.

Step 2: Configuring Apache

Now, make sure you pay attention on this part. Open httpd.conf file with notepad.exe. That file is the Apache config file, which looks long, and messy. You may not even understand the text that's in the file, after you keep reading you will. But for most of us the default settings work for us, we will just need to change a few things to make the server even better.

About 19 or 20 lines below that you will see a line that reads:
AllowOverride None
Change that to:
AllowOverride All

When your done with the editing save the httpd.conf file. The, in your task bar click the apache icon then choose "Restart". If apache restarted without an error then visit the URL I told you to go to last time. If you got an error that you may have messed up the config file. When you

Step 4. Congratulations!
You now have a working web server! Make sure you have port 80 unblocked on your firewall and router.

Some Things You Should Know:
If you have a web server whats the point of having one if you don't know how to make a site? A website is coded in HTML. HTML is really easy to learn, you can learn HTML within 24 hours. I know someone that learned it in an hour. It's well worth learning, and you can add it to your resume if you ever apply for a job.

There are more advanced programming languages like PHP, but it's not recommended for starters, you will need to know HTML anyway no matter what. I will link you to a page were you can read up more information on HTML, I won't get into it to much on this article since its for setting up a web server. The link will be right below this text.
